3. Download Netgear router’s latest firmware -
Navigate to “https://www.netgear.com/support/download/” and download the latest firmware for your router.
a. Once firmware get downloaded from Netgear Download Center, save it to your desktop.
b. Launch a web browser on that system that is currently connected to your router via ethernet cable. In web browser’s address bar, type “www.routerlogin.net” and hit Enter.
c. A login screen will appear where you have to enter accurate login details. Once you get into Netgear router settings, tap on Advanced > Administration.
d. In next step, tap on Firmware update button > Browse. After that, locate and highlight the saved firmware on your desktop and then click on Open > Upload.
4. Reset Netgear router -
To perform a factory reset on Netgear router, first locate the Reset button. After that, take a sharp object like paperclip and press that Reset button using this sharp object. You have to press Reset button for 7 seconds and after that you can release Reset button. Now wait for few moments until your Netgear router reboot. Once factory reset process gets complete, Power light will stop blinking and then turn into solid green.
